Singer from Norfolk, UK, involved in the single release [r6394865] During the early 80s Tony Roots toured Europe with Joseph Hill and the mighty Culture. Returning home to Norfolk, England he set up his own band, The Liberators. Playing locally within the UK and touring across Europe at festivals and fairs, the Liberators were predominantly a live band. The band's only studio recording and release came out in 1987, a 12 inch vinyl featuring two songs in extended disco mix style. Forward in Love was well received, gaining acclaim in Black Echoes magazine and played extensively on radio stations of the time. Tony Roots was responsible for originally setting up Foundation Sound in 1981 and nowadays, alongside the extended Foundation family and crew, can be found toasting on the sound system and singing and playing guitar as part of his latest project, Dubartra.
