David Branson (2)

David Branson (February 1963 – 11 December 2001) was an Australian theatre director, actor, writer, artist and musician. The older brother of Pip Branson David was a classically trained violinist who played in the Canberra Youth Orchestra and in many local bands in Canberra such as The Black Dogs, Plunderers, and The Gadflys. He was a member of, among others, the Doug Anthony All Stars, Found Objects and the Performing Arts Cafe. Under the pseudonym Senor Handsome he was a founding member, and violinist, of Mikelangelo & The Black Sea Gentlemen. In December 2001, David died in a car accident on the way to that band's final rehearsal for their first theatre show at The Canberra Street Theatre.
