Marilyn Mills

American female soprano singer. Born c.1931 Tulsa, Oklahoma. Began singing at 14 and was on radio at 16 and TV at 18. She studied Journalism at Tulsa University. She won the Horace Heidt contest in 1949 and 1951 was runner-up to "Miss Oklahoma" in 1950. She came to Hollywood on vacation in 1951 and ended up staying, beginning at KNBH radio. Her releases on Coral began with "They've All Gone Home/Darling Come Home" in September 1953 and "Someone Else's Shadow/Were You Ever Mine to Lose?" in March 1954.
