Country & Western artist, songwriter, engineer and producer from the 1960's into the 2020's. Robby Roberson entered the professional music business in 1960 in the Upstate New York area while serving in the USAF. In 1961 he moved to Missouri where he performed with his group until 1963, when he moved to his home states of South Carolina and Georgia and became a C&W Disc jockey and local performer. In 1965, Robby was offered a position with the George Jones Band and moved to Nashville; however, upon arrival in Nashville, he was offered a position playing bass for local recording sessions. He formed a road band and traveling the country for over fifteen years performing alongside of many of C&W's legendary acts. In 1973, Robby opened SOUND 88 in Nashville. He purchased his first recording studio in 1974 and within a year owned three other studios, including Nugget Studios in 1975. With Nashville's move to the pop music industry, Robby moved it all to the gold country of California, where he renamed his companies the Gold Country Music Group. He performed throughout California from his base in Los Angeles and worked studio sessions throughout the state as a producer. He built recording studios in Fresno, Sacramento and Carson City, Nevada. He also served as the Entertainment Director for the Hacienda Resort in Fresno for one year, bringing many Country & Western Music acts to the Central San Joaquin Valley area. In 1991 Robby moved his entire operation to Texas and renamed his companies the Gold Country, Texas Music Group.
