Terri King

Australian vocalist (b. Mornington, Vic. c.1931 - d. London Oct., 1977) Showgirl at Folies Bergere in Melbourne. Sang with Ric Farbach group at Sydney's Silver Ace and various other nightspots around Sydney. Voted top female pop vocalist in the 1957 "Music Maker" poll. Tour of Philippines. On shows with various overseas artists in Sydney (Frankie Laine Show, Billy Eckstine Show, Johnny Mathis Show). Had engagements in Hong Kong, Singapore & Colombo nightclubs. Returned to Sydney and was with Julian Lee's band at the Ling Nam Restaurant in Sydney. Was in London in 1977 when she committed suicide after finding out hard to get work.
