Portugese electronic outfit formed in 2006 by João Barbosa (Li'l John), Rui Pité (DJ Riot), Andro Carvalho (Conductor) and Kalaf Ângelo. Front girl was Petty, later replaced by Blaya. Their name, Buraka, is taken from the freguesia of Buraca within the Lisbon Metropolitan Area. Som Sistema means Sound System in Portuguese. They were synonymous with kuduro music.
