Tony Martin (4)

(b. 10 June 1964) in Te Kuiti, New Zealand, Tony Martin started his media career in 1979 when his Super-8 film [B][I]Batman Again[/B][/I] came third in New Zealand television's [B][I]TV2 School Filmmaking Competition[/B][/I]. After moving to Hamilton and then on to Brisbane as a writer for a Brisbane radio station. Tony worked on the TV show [B][I]Rubbery Figures[/B][/I] (1986) and then worked as a writer / actor with [B][I]The D-Generation[/B][/I] on their first TV show [B][I]The D-Generation[/B][/I] (1987) From 1987 to 1991 Tony wrote and performed on Melbourne radio's [B][I]D-Generation Breakfast Show[/B][/I] After the radio show ended he went on to work with on [B][I]The Late Show[/B][/I] (1992 to 1993). Next was his own radio show with mate [B][I]Mick Molloy[/B][/I]. The [B][I]Martin/Molloy[/B][/I] show (1995 to 1998) was a comedy show broadcast to 50 stations Australia wide. After his stints in radio, Tony turned to Film and Television, he has worked on a number of films both in front and behind the camera, including [B][I]The Castle[/B][/I] (1997) and [B][I]Bad Eggs[/B][/I] (2003). He hosted his own radio show [B][I]Get this[/B][/I] on Australia's Triple-M radio network from April 2006 until November 2007. He was married to Annie Maver who is also involved in the Australian Film and Television industry.
