Lars Angerdal

Born August 28, 1937 in Örebro, died November 21, 2006 in Uppsala, married to Sonja Angerdal, was organist and choir leader in Uppsala Cathedral, as well as founder of the sacred choirs Schola Cantorum (1972) and Collegium Cantorum (1983). Angerdal studied choral conducting from 1957 to 1962 for Eric Ericson at Kungliga Musikhögskolan in Stockholm. From 1962 to 1963 he studied organ playing for Michael Schneider at the Berlin Academy of Music. He gave many concerts in Europe, USA and Asia, both as conductor and organ soloist.
