Об исполнителе:
German jazz, electronic, and neoclassical music composer. Thomas Kessler studied classical piano, composition and jazz harmonics and recorded several ambient art-jazz-electronica fusion albums with his own band, the Thomas Kessler Group, during the early and mid 90s. Later in the 90s he travelled the world with Berlin’s Dissidenten, where he met soloists like alto sax virtuoso Charlie Mariano and members of the Karnataka College of Percussion. At the same time, he started building his own studio P.Fort Base, which helped him control the entire musical production process, from recording to mixing to mastering. He began working on a variety of projects in the field of intuitively composed music, lounge and electronica. The resulting collaborations included performances and releases with Trance Groove and Goldman (5) (Stefan Krachten), including collaborations with fellow musicians from bands like King Crimson, Traffic, and CAN. The year 2020 was marked by the resurrection of his solo piano music: in August, he started a series of compositions in the tradition of his 2012 album "Piano Diaries". His piano pieces are largely inspired by the works of early 20th century impressionists such as Debussy and Satie, translating their atmospheric images into a contemporary form of intuitively composed music.
