The Breathing Light started in Alabama in 2008. While attending art classes singer/guitarist Kyle O. decided to form an all-black punk band. In 2011 the band relocated to Chicago where it is currently based. The name Breathing Light comes from the song (of the same name) by trip hop artist Nitin Sawhney.
