The Agricolites

The Agricolites is a in-house production band located at Cafe Cempoal De La Calavera Negra in the city of Halifax, Nova Scotia The name "Agricolites" was inspired from the location of Cafe Cempoal which is located on Agricola Street. The Agricolites consist of the lead drummer / percussionist Chris Cookson (2) with producer / engineer / musician Jorun Bombay. All other musicians listed on the projects and songs are hired musicians from the neighborhood surrounding Cafe Cempoal that occasionally include (but not limited to) Alec Frith (Bass), Sean Weber (Horns), Forrest Dank (Rhodes), Mark Bachynski (Drums), Mike Nahirnak (Guitars) & Lukas Pearse (Upright Bass) Outside project credits include Black Sheep Dres' 2018 release "Tortured Soul" ("Just Cause" - Produced by Jorun Bombay - Upright Bass by Lukas Pearse) and Nicki Minaj's "Barbie Dreams" (Produced by Rashad "Ringo" Smith - Additional guitar by Alec Frith) As of May 2021, The Agricolites have also launched an indi label "Cafe Cempoal Records" (CCR) and exclusively sell product in the Cafe located on Agricola Street in Halifax.
