Craig Buying

Craig Buying is a clarinetist with the United States Air Force Band of Mid-America, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. He is a member of the Concert Band, Ceremonial Band, and Liberty Clarinet Quartet. His principal teachers include Steve Silverstein, Doug Graham, Dan Gilbert, and Alan Kay. Master class performances have included musicians Stephen Williamson, Stanley Drucker, Charles Neidich, Michael Webster, Daniel Panner, Gil Kalish, and Pamela Frank. Airman Buying has performed at the Bang on a Can Marathon and the Emerson Chamber Music Festival, and has worked with conductors including George Manahan, Rossen Milanov, Eduardo Leandro, Guillermo Figueroa, and David Stern. Prior to enlisting in the Air Force in 2012, Airman Buying served on the faculty of the Music Academy of Long Island and the Gracias School of Music in Long Island, NY. Prior teaching appointments have also included the Stony Brook University undergraduate clarinet studio and the Scarlet Knight Marching Band at Rutgers University.
