Peter Lewin, a xylophonist who had been associated with John Philip Sousa and the [a847623] in Washington, was known to have recorded at least a dozen one-sided records for the Victor label between December 1905 and May 1906. Some of the sides were later paired on records with other artists as late as 1911. Newspaper accounts suggest that he also toured the vaudeville circuit extensively during these years and was known to have been giving performances into the mid-1930s.
