Herman Beliën

Drs. Herman Beliën was a historian and lecturer at the University of Amsterdam. Beliën wrote various educational books, travel guides and historical books for a larger audience, such as Dutch history in a nutshell. In 1999 and 2000, he presented two TV programs for the NPS: The quiz of the century and Does the Netherlands exist ?, a series of ten documentaries about Dutch culture. Herman Beliën died in September 2013.
