Nico Wegter

After working for NATO for a number of years, he became a European civil servant and direct employee of, among others, the two Dutch members of the European Commission, resp. Frans Andriessen and Hans van den Broek. In that capacity he was responsible, among other things, for the external relations of the Commissioners involved and in particular for relations with the extensive international press corps in Brussels. He may rightly be called a European insider, because for many years he has looked into the "Brussels cuisine" and as such is familiar with many markets. He is an expert on European agricultural policy, but certainly also for Europe. He gives lectures and lectures at home and abroad and about European cooperation.
