Karkasas

Started as an anonymous project of Lithuanian electronic music scene misfit Deividas Jaroška in 2016, Karkasas is a fresh voice in Lithuanian industrial and techno sound circle. Back in 2017 when Karkasas ‎– Société De Ruche [GHIA004] has dropped Karkasas in his interview explained that he hid his identity to avoid dealing with publiticty and feel comfortable playing. But after a year Deividas Jaroška revelied himself that he is a face behind a project saying that he is not uncomfortable with this project being attached to his name anymore. While the artist behind the moniker has already been an active participant in the electronic underground of Vilnius for some time, Karkasas came to light in 2016 as an anonymous formation to house the bleakest of his musical offerings. Crisscrossing the territories of industrial noise, drone, broken beats and dark ambient, techno, tekno and rav music. His craft will please those with admiration for the sound by late post-industrial scene (Mika Vainio, Shapednoise, Emptyset) and Perc and MORD sounding techno. Karkasas' debut album „Société de Ruche” was published in 2017 as a digital and casette release by Ghia, offering a selection of music from the period of 2015-2017.
