Robert Korda

Robert Alan Korda. October 4, 1940 - July 8, 2009. Robert began his career as a second violinist at the L.A. Philharmonic in 1960 and played with the orchestra until 1980. During his time with the philharmonic, Korda played under the direction of Zubin Mehta and Carlo Maria Giulini. Since leaving the philharmonic, Korda has worked as a freelance musician and played with various orchestras and chamber groups. In addition, Robert served on the board of directors of The Music Guild and was the leader of Monseigneur Strings, a group of strolling violinists formed by his older brother, the late Murray Korda.
