Jeffrey Runnings

Jeff Runnings is an alternative rock vocalist and multi-instrumentalist from the Lincoln, Nebraska area. After having lived in Athens, Georgia while he served as keyboard player in Matthew Sweet's touring band, he returned to Lincoln in the early 80s to join the band Glue on keys. When the bassist for the group left, Runnings took over that role as well as doing the odd lead vocal. Glue would rename itself, first to D.B.L. then to For Against. By fall 1984, the lead singer would exit with Runnings now filling the front man role. With the departure of the drummer in late 1988, Runnings saw an opportunity to shake things up and also added a bassist when replacing him. Runnings would now be a second guitarist with For Against.
