Bio From Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=leMrtDOgmCc Toronto pianist/composer Ted Moses. Husband of esteemed Canadian Jazz-Fusion flautist and composer Kathryn Moses, Ted was a mainstay of the Toronto Jazz scene for many years. Ted recorded three albums throughout the 70’s with his own band, often hinging on various Jazz moods; Fusion, swing, free, experimental, etc. His output never received the proper praise in it’s day and just recently has his debut offering’s (1974’s “Sidereal Time”) accumulative cult appeal over the decades paid off in terms of a reissue and wider audience thanks to Montreal’s “Return To Analog” record label. Unfortunately, his other albums have yet to receive a similar treatment and wallow in record bins across the country waiting to be discovered by Jazz fans. With a highly skilled quintet in tow, 1974’s Sidereal Time is a fantastic album, that is reminiscent of Moe Koffman’s “Solar Explorations” in application and in spirit. THE QUINTET: Ted Moses: keyboards Mike Malone: horns Kathryn Moses: flute Richard Homme: bass Terry Clarke: drums, percussion
