American female vocalist from Columbus, Georgia. Yates started her career when she was about 14 year old. She made her first television appearance in Washington, D.C. in 1953. She sang with the Harry James (2) orchestra in 1962, and also with Ray Anthony & His Bookends. She also performed with the Carol Lee Quartet. Aunt of Rusty Yates, and sister of Charles Yates (2).
