Shakes + Seven began as a collaboration between Dj/Producer Chris Shakes (Romania) and singer Cay-T (The Netherlands). On a musical journey together they explore genres like; Smooth Jazz, Funk and Soul. Together with Hip-Hop beats it blends to a style that is best described as ‘lounge’. Cay-T’s unique voice and Chris’ skills as a producer form the base of Shakes + Seven. Live, the band is joined by Dutch top allround musicians as Willem Pluk (trumpet), P.J. Kleevens (keyboards) , Willem Oudijk (drums, percussion) Frans van Oostrom (guitar) Marilou Krouwel (flute) resulted in 3 albums: One World (VOC records), Catwalk (beatloungerecords) & Indiana ( VOC records) and a lot of compilations worldwide and Grandfathers Night (1st single) was even on Armada “Best Chillout 2016”
