Texas guitarist, keyboardist and singer-songwriter. Also known as DC Davis, Wyrdgirl and Darwin Prophet. Davis has lived in Houston, Austin and Dallas, Texas. After playing with prog rock band Velvet Hammer from 1989 to 1998, Davis performed under the name Wyrdgirl from 2000 to 2009. Since 2010, she has been performing as Darwin Prophet. Davis has been involved in other musical projects including singing at country venues Gilley’s and The Nesadel, co-writing a pop opera project, appearing in musicals and music videos, fronting the metal band Blacksheep, singing with the big band Cary Richards Orchestra and show band Taste, and touring with psychedelic folk band Green Crown.
