Jesús Lozano

Venezuelan singer, composer and songwriter. Jesús Lozano (b. Maracaibo, Zulia, July 11, 1911 - d. IBIDEM, October 11, 1985). In 1925 Lozano founded Conjunto Bella Vista, a zulian gaitas group who worked for over 40 years, after that, Lozano joined to Conjunto Santa Ana, following his steps until landed at Estrellas Del Zulia group. In his songbook we can find success gaitas as La Movidita, Felices Pascuas, Trigueña Hermosa, La Machaca, between many others. The Jesús Lozano's death was a real social shock, a beloved and charismatic singer and composer, a genuine icon of zulianity, for that reason the zulian people cryed his farewell.
