The Concord Trio

The Concord Trio is an American chamber ensemble, formed in 1971 by Norman Fischer and Andrew Jennings (2), the founding members of The Concord String Quartet, joined by pianist Jeanne Kierman, who have been working with Fischer for many years as one-half of The Fischer Duo. The trio is closely associated with composer George Rochberg, and has been performing his work Summer 1990, inspired by a visit to the former Soviet Union days before the Communism fell.
