Pink FA

London-based tribute act to The Pink Fairies. Formed by Tonal Davidson in the late '90s. Bassist Blacken, from Mournblade, responded to Tonal's ad in UHCK. ( A fanzine dedicated to all things Pink Fairies etc.). Tonal bought in old friend Mr. B on guitar but the position of front man/extra guitar player was missing until Blacken got talking to Graze, in a guitar shop in Hanwell, in early 2001. This line up made it's debut in 2004 at the Bull & Gate, Kentish Town with Hawkwind/Inner City Unit sax player Nik Turner guesting. ( Turner also came up with the band name). After a couple more gigs, Terry Ollis was added on 2nd drum kit. ( He being in the first Hawkwind line up & member of Space Ritual alongside Turner). The band played concerts & various benefits, inc. one for Boss Goodman & the launches of the Rich Deakin book about the Pink Fairies & The Deviants: Keep It Together. They last played in 2009...
