Bob Richardson (2)

U.S. recording engineer and co-founder (with Bill Lowery) of Mastersound Studios, Atlanta; his long career began in North Carolina in the 1950s while, as a District Sales Manager for Columbia Records, he began recording groups in his home studio. After moving to Atlanta, he recorded hits for Billy Joe Royal, The Classics IV and Isaac Hayes. Mastersound, built in 1972, was one of the first fully-automated studios in the U.S, with a full Quadraphonic recording setup. Bob Richardson was the only studio owner and engineer to be inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. He died in Stuart, Florida on April 15, 2003.
