A regional Michigan band, sometimes billed as his “Hotel Tuller Orchestra” (Detroit), led by songwriter Gerald Marks. The orchestra began in 1922 as Seymour Simons' Syncopated Serenaders. In 1926, Simons became ill, and Gerald Marks took over the group. Among the band members were Shay Jones (brother of Isham) and Spike Knoblauch (aka Glen Gray). The group began performing in Detroit on radio in the 1920's and was still recording in the 1950s. Gerald Marks - piano, Zeph Phillips - trumpet, Nelson Bitterman - piano & drums. Also Joe Zito and Frank and Leo Jones.
