This early R&B group from Newark, NJ, was active from 1943 to the mid-1950s. Members included Enoch Martin (pianist, arranger, and baritone lead on the uptempo tunes), Madison Flanagan (tenor lead on the ballads, and occasional maracas player), Walter Dawkins (second tenor/baritone), and Sam Rucker (baritone and guitar).
