The Constellations (10)

Cleveland, Ohio 1962-5 The Constellations were another vocal group in the transition from doowop to soul. They were from Cleveland's Lee-Miles neighborhood and had Donald Rose as the lead singer. The Constellations recorded a 45 for the Violet label, with the storming R&B song "Oh Mary" and the ballad "My Dear". "My Dear" was the song that got airplay but collectors have sought out "Oh Mary" for dance club floor shakin'.
