Get Smart!

Get Smart! formed while at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS in 1980. [r1823766] flexi disc issued with Talk Talk magazine (May 13, 1981), followed by a self-released 4 song 7", Words Move (Dec. 8, 1981). In 1983 they relocated to Chicago, IL. The group signed to Fever Records (3) (an independent label in Philadelphia, PA) and released their first album, [r2616057] in 1984. For the band's second album, Fever Records arranged a pressing and distribution deal with Enigma Records (3) in Los Angeles, CA. [m446764] was released in 1986 on Enigma's Restless Records boutique label. The band disbanded in 1990. Get Smart! reunited in 2020 and put out the previously unreleased 6-song EP [m2385790], recorded by Iain Burgess in 1987 and mixed in 2020 by Steve Albini.
