The Scepters (3)

Warren, Ohio 1964-6 ** Not to be confused with another 1960's garage band from Barnsville, Ohio: The Scepters (4). This Scepters band included John Matsik (guitar), Andy Graham (keyboards), Rod Bender (bass), and John Yurtin (drums). This foursome played numerous teen dances around town with their mix of danceable frat and British Invasion sounds. In 1965 they recorded a version of "California Sun" and an original called "All Night Long" at Audio Recording and had a 100 or so copies pressed at Pama. Both sides are energetic teen rockers.
