Disequazione

Italian prog rock band. All the way back in 1980, bassist Giorgio Radi and guitarist Vinicio Marcelli felt a calling to perform progressive rock music initially based on the defining English groups of the time such as Yes and Genesis. They were soon joined by drummer Walter Lotto and other musicians, where they performed in local theatres covers of the above mentioned bands as well as King Crimson and Camel. Some members would come and go, but soon the two founders were writing their own material, and a year on, they were performing their original pieces even if the band line-up was unsteady. However, the group would not fully come together...at least, not for over thirty years ! Fast-forward to 2012, and one of their former keyboardists Dario Degrassi would meet up with Giorgio and Vinicio again, the trio also joined by drummer Fiodor Cicogna and singer Luca Sparagna, and this time the union would produce their debut album `Progressiva Desolazione Urbana' in 2016, a lavish and vibrant vinyl-length prog-rock disc fully performed in Italian. Fiodor would leave the band soon after, to be replaced by Enrico Perusin, but the band is now properly active, and ready to offer wonderful progressive music in the rich tradition of the classic vintage Italian and English prog-rock bands.
