Burkhardt Seiler

Born: Septembre 19, 1953 in Berlin, Germany. Dead: February 1, 2023. Burkhardt Seiler is also known as "Zensor". He is the founder of the Zensor record shop and of the Zensor Label in 1979/80. Together with Tina Fiedler he opened the records shop in spring 1979 in Berlin-Schöneberg as he was 25 years old. This store specialized in alternative labels. He created the item "Neue Deutsche Welle" together with Hans Keller. This term was used in a Zensor shop advertisement on the Sounds-Journal (8/ 79) for the first time. The record shop closed in 1983 so Burkhardt Seiler consecrated oneself to the Zensor Musikproduktion GmbH, which was founded in 1984. He is also an organizer for concerts and the owner of the music publisher: "Burkhardt Seiler Musikverlag".
