Galo Ceron

Guitarist based in Scotland AKA Galvarino Ceron Carrasco Galvarino Ceron-Carrasco Galo, to his friend, is a well known Scottish classical trained musician. He came to Scotland with his family as refugees. The family settled in Dundee. Galo's father was in 1974 a prisoner of the Pinochet's Regime and as such was in a concentration camp not far from the south Polo at the remote Dawson isle. Galo plays the compositions of Latin American composers such as Ginastera, Piazzolla, Villlalobos, Lauro, Ponce, Barrios and Brouwer: Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico, Paraguay and Cuba all united by Galo's fingers. He has done so many things since he was "wee": a great del of Solidarity work with Chile. He was a founder of the well known band Salsa Celtica. He has recently been involved in theatre work. Galo, and his sister, Dr. Rubi Ceron, are of Mapuche origin.
