Annette Tånnander

Swedish born former athlete competing in the pentathlon, heptathlon, high jump, long jump, 100 metres hurdles & 4 x 100 metres relay events. She was born on February 13, 1958 in Slottsstaden parish, Malmö, but has since 1986 been married to the American former swimmer Holden Joseph Bank and is living together with him in the U.S. Annette Tånnander competed for Sweden in high jump at the 1976 summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Eight years later at the 1984 summer Olympics in Los Angeles, USA, she competed a second time for Sweden, this time in heptathlon. She also tried qualifying for the long jump final on the same occasion, but her longest jump was unfortunately 3 centimetres too short for that.
