String Orchestra St. Gallen

The String Orchestra St. Gallen is a Swiss string ensemble formed in 1980 in St. Gallen, their self-chosen German translation is "St. Galler Kammerensemble". Its members are professional musicians, music students and amateurs. The ensemble presents classical works from all periods, but also music of the 20th century. The orchestra is a chance for talented, young musicians to perform with experienced musicians as John Holloway, Thomas Füri, Rosmarie Hofmann, Charles Daniels (2), Hansheinz Schneeberger or Peter Waters, who all appeared together with this orchestra in the past. The ensemble was led by Rudolf Lutz from 1986 to 2010.
