Llajtaymanta was created on April 7, 1986, in Oruro. The founders are: Félix Orlando Andia Ríos, Benjamín Edson Carvallo Contreras, Alvaro Alvarez Silvera, Henrry Alvarez Silvera and Ramíro Fernando Flores Carreón. Since its first albums, the successful folk ensemble has compiled the traditional rhythms of Bolivian folklore and the interpretation of its own musical successes, contributing to its wide repertoire. During their artistic career they toured throughout the United States, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Chile, Spain, Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Germany. Among some successful themes of his work are: "el Chiru Chiru", "So that life", "I don't want to see you", "Without crying", "Brujita", "Fabiola", "Oruro I love you more", "Los caporales San Simón, USA", "Huajcha", "Chevere que che", "Eyes closed", "100% Cocanis", among some. Some of the main awards and recognitions they have won are: the "Maya Award" (2004 - 2005), "Charango de Oro" (1987), "The Best of 90" (1990), "Revelation Group" (1995), "Best Folkloric Group of People and Art" (2006), Medal of Merit "Sebastián Pagador" (2011), "Honor al Cultural Merit" (2012), among others.
