Paul Dickman

Paul Dickman is a transactional entertainment attorney and the owner of Dickman Entertainment Associates, LLC, a Philadelphia-based boutique entertainment law practice primarily representing and counseling clients on music industry and other entertainment related matters. His clients include recording artists, producers, managers, songwriters, independent record labels, production companies, and the Weathervane Music Organization. Since 2008, Mr. Dickman has overseen the business and legal affairs for the label, distribution and publishing divisions of Redeye Incorporated (Redeye Distribution, Yep Roc Records and Riff City Sounds). Prior to forming Dickman Entertainment Associates in January 2003, Mr. Dickman served in various business affairs capacities with Rykodisc, Inc. for the company’s label, publishing, licensing and distribution operations from March 1988 until April 1999, and then as Head of Business Affairs/East Coast Creative Affairs for Rykomusic Ltd. from April 1999 until 2003. In private practice, he continued to serve as a business affairs consultant for Ryko Corp primarily responsible for the company’s digital music initiative until the company was absorbed into the Warner Music Group in 2008. Between 1998 and 2008, Mr. Dickman also ran his own artist management company, representing national recording artists, Marah and Alejandro Escovedo, and providing management consulting services to a number of other musician clients. He is a graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New York.
