Jim Dorie

Folk Singer, Story Teller - Nova Scotia, Canada. Born 1950 - Died Dec 8, 2015 Jim grew up in Westville, NS and Antigonish, NS. After high school he moved to Sudbury On where he worked at INCO for seven years, then to Fort McMurray where he was an employee of Syncrude for thirty years. After retirement in 2006, he and his wife, Jeanne, moved back to New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Canada. 2013 nominated for an ECMA for “Ghosts of Pictou County.” Released three recordings: 2010 - Something Happened 2012 - Ghosts of Pictou County 2014 - Drop Forge
