Maria Dermoût

Born 15th June 1888 in Pekalongan, Java, Dutch East Indies (now: Indonesia). Died 27th June 1962 in The Hague, Netherlands. In 1907 she married the lawyer Isaac J. Dermoût. Afther he retired the family moved to Netherlands in 1933. Novelist. Her first novel was published in 1951.
