Об исполнителе:
Tetsuya Endoh, primarily known as Gero 30 and briefly as Gero 56, is a Japanese sex performer and masturbator, experimental/noise artist, exhibitionist, and the only permanent 'core' member of The Gerogerigegege alongside with its founder and leader Juntaro Yamanouchi. Current whereabouts unknown, likely to be retired as he was much older than J.Y. and other musicians. His last credited appearance was on a 2001 Saturdaynight Big Cock Salaryman CD EP, one of the band's last "official" releases prior to an extended 15-year hiatus. Juntaro also mentioned in the same year's interview that Gero 30 "had been in a hospital for a very long time." On the other hand, one of the first posts on the Gerogerigegege's new Facebook page in Aug 2016 was published under 'Gero 30' name. Juntaro Yamanouchi met Tetsuya Endoh circa 1985 at some random S&M club in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Juntaro already released a DIY Gerogerigegege C-30 cassette via Masami Akita's mailorder ZSF Produkt at that time, and had been rehearsing with a drummer Dynamite Gero and guitarist Dee Dee Gero. Tetsuya immediately became his muse and artistic partner, taking a prime 'senzuri mascot' spot in Juntaro's grand vision. The new duo began performing at various sex/fetish clubs, and these Gerogerigegege's 'concerts' are some of the most disturbing acts in the history of Japanese extreme music (alongside infamous Hanatarash demolitions). Built on GG Allin's raw punk aesthetics, they featured little music: Gero 30 would masturbate on stage, moaning and groaning in the microphone, rolling in his own bodily fluids and feces. A bunch of middle-aged guys in the audience jerked off, contributing their panting voices and excited snorts to the sound ambiance. The Gerogerigegege began playing 'proper' concerts at dedicated venues and music clubs already in the fall of 1986, but 'senzuri' shows continued happening at least until the early nineties. Juntaro and Tetsuya would perform up to three times a month, each time presenting a different S&M scenario; music varied from hardcore noise punk to house, Gero 30 would occasionally play drums and electronics, and utilize various objects for his disgusting on-stage act, from a vacuum cleaner to a hundred of raw eggs or smallmouth fish. For better or worse, only sparse video evidence of these brutal sessions exist but three live shows were documented on a '91 Live Greatest Hits CD. This album prominently features Tetsuya Endoh's expressive masturbation vocals, as well as the amusing crowd reactions, and the full list of Gerogerigegege concerts to date. Another notable Gero 30 performance, where he had a chance to expose himself in front of a large audience and flickering reporters' cameras, was a notorious 1988 'Release Memorial Performance.' J.Y. gathered a huge crowd and press at the Enoshima Beach to present his latest 愛人 = Ai-Jin 7" flexi-disc, and then simply threw all 2000 discs in a huge pile and lit it on fire while naked Gero 30 masturbated in the tidal waves nearby; this concluded the ‘performance.'
