Graeme Strachan, aka "Shirley" (born January 2, 1952, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia - died August 29, 2001, Mount Archer, Queensland, Australia) was an Australian singer, songwriter, radio and television presenter. Lead vocalist and frontman for the 1970s Australian band Skyhooks. During the period that Skyhooks were the country's number one band, he became a household name and had a number of solo hits during that period. After he left the band, he started a career in television as the compere of his own children's TV show "Shirl's Neighbourhood". He did a stint of hosting the weekly "Lotto" draws, breakfast radio shows and later hosted the do-it-yourself TV show "Our House" (he was well qualified for this position as he had trained as a carpenter prior to joining "Skyhooks") and was still in this role when he died in a helicopter crash in Queensland.
