GAM GAM was a Japanese pop folk group active from 1974 to 1976, known for their three-part harmonies. In 1970, junior high school classmates Shoichi Matsunaga and Takeshi Kakinuma formed a folk duo called "あかてん". When they were in their second year of high school they debuted with CBS Sony . Later, classmate Toshiharu Sugishita joined the group, however Yoshiya Era joined the group in place of Sugishita who decided to leave the group after the release of their second single. After changing record company, they changed their group name to "Gamu Gamu" and debuted with "[r26304272]" with Express/ Toshiba EMI . Shinichiro Miyagi joined in 1975 making a four-member band, however Era Yoshiya withdrew the following year, and it became a three-member band once again.
