Catapulta (3)

The band emerged in the 90s originally from Bahia/Brazil and soon got admirers among them Max Cavalera, mixing hardcore and metal with candomblé and capoeira elements, making a very aggressive sound. Catapulta appeared seaming regional elements of Bahia and the northeast of Brazil with very heavy guitars and a nervous singer. The debut album was released in 1997 by Roadrunner Records and videoclip "Puêra" had one of the most played clips on MTV Brasil at that same year. After the label shut down activities in Brazil, the band faces difficulties and remains a few years without recording. When the rights of record label on them is expired they record the second album (2ª Versão), released in 2002 by the Brazilian label Ramax, which belongs to the brazilian singer Elba Ramalho.
