American guitarist/multi-instrumentalist. Cofresí grew up in Puerto Rico. He was a member of Houston, Texas experimental rock band Dry Nod. After Houston, he was based in Austin, Texas, New York and then Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In Chapel Hill, he formed the band New Town Drunks with his wife Diane Koistinen in 2003.
