" EL BASTARDO outlaw picker El Bastardo is the putative father of today's Italian one man band scene, as well as one of the best known and most appreciated in Europe and the United States. He spent most of the 90s with his historic power trio, the Cromosome, with Bruno Gallo on bass (Fil di Ferro) and Andrea Frola on drums (Africa Unite) with whom he wanders around Italy and southern Europe and participates in some compilations by now unobtainable. Founder and guitarist of the now dissolved Bad Dog Boogie, with whom he recorded the albums "Drunk again" (El Coche recs, 1999), "Motorfucker" (Nicotine recs, 2003), "Hijo de puta" (San Martin recs, 2006) the split albums “Dr. frankendragster ”(Nicotine recs, 2005) with the legendary Electric Frankenstein and“ Devil in High Heels ”(dsb recs, 2005) with the German V8 wankers, and participated in numerous compilations. Leader of the RʼnʼR Trio Motorsonics from 2006 until the end of 2009, since 2003 he has been circulating in complete solitude playing acoustic and resophonic guitar, harmonica, ukulele, mandolin and kazoo, and performing very intense live performances based on bluegrass, country blues, old time music, Early Jazz and indie folk. In the footsteps of Doc Watson, Hank Williams and Jonny Cash, rather than Jimmie Rodgers, Robert Johnson and Big Bill Broonzy, passing through Roy Smeck, Clif Edwards and George Formby, he obtained an increasing response, arriving regularly playing in Italy, Germany , Switzerland, Austria, France, Holland and sharing the stage with John Spencer, Juliette & the Licks, Camper Van Beethoven, Quireboys, TV Smith, Almamegretta, Perturbazione, Diaphragm, Motorhead among others. Since 2012 he has been circulating with the parallel project "Tin Pan Alley hot jazz trio" which sees him at Ukulele together with Marta Terrible (Voice) and Antonio Fiori (Mandolin, Violin) formation with which he recorded the album "Ukulele Follies" distributed all over the world by the American Elderly Music, wandering around Italy and sharing the stage with big guns like Sue Moreno, Sam Hill and Delirium. El Bastardo has 4 solo albums under his belt, "6 Inches Blues" (San Martin Records, 2005), "Bleeding strings" (Hank Records, 2007), "One hammer for you" (Imusician, 2010), "Wood & Steel" ( Imusician / DIY 2013), the single "Mind Your own business" (Imusician, 2010) and participation in the first volume of the collection "Killed by a one man band" (Squoodge Records, 2009) and the compilation "One Man Band Worldwide" (Squoodge Records, 2010).
