Paul Louth
Настоящее имя: Paul Louth
Об исполнителе:
Paul started out running pre-parties for John Digweed's legendary Bedrock night. He went on to feature at the main event at Heaven, each time hosting a room, as well as on John Digweed's Kiss FM radio show. Around the same time DJ mag did a full two-page spread on this up 'n' coming DJ: Paul Louth. That really pushed Paul into the limelight and he was immediately propelled into the world of gigging around Europe and the US. In 2001 Paul was asked to play a room 3 breaks set, for the night Prologue, at legendary venue The Cross. The main room emptied as the crowd came in to hear Paul play in room 3 and immediately after that gig Harvey, the Prologue promoter, asked Paul to join the night as the main room resident. That began a 14 year long residency. Paul says "That's where I learned how to play. Being a resident and making a night fit together, sometimes having to start it from an empty cavernous room, is a real skill-set that I think many DJs miss". He still likes to play 'like a resident' even when headlining an event - "It's important to create an experience that's greater than the sum of it's parts. It is of course about your performance, but it doesn't stand alone". From putting the hours in as a resident in one of the world's greatest ever clubs - to guest slots at all of the other major London clubs: now defunct The End, Turnmills, Cabal, Pacha, Canvas, as well as still very active Fabric, Corsica Studios, Ministry of Sound, The Egg, and many more. In fact, with Fabric, Paul has played in all three rooms, warm-ups as well as peak-time. Another nod to his resident mindset. Paul's recent focus is on production. With releases under the name Agile Kind, Waterwalk, Soulfish, and his own name, but he doesn't want to rest there: "I fell in love with electronic music because it can and should sound futuristic, I want to create that future".
