Choir based in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex. Founded in the Autumn of 1968, its origins lie in the South East Essex Welsh Society. Gerwyn Parry, a Welshman who was teaching at the Westcliff High School for Boys, encouraged a group of Welsh Society members to get together for a sing-song from time to time, and out of these occasional meetings was established a Local Government evening class choir.
