Mark Mytrowitz

American guitar technician and equipment manager, known as Mark "Microwave" Mytrowitz. Born 1956 in Kearny, New Jersey, and raised in Melbourne, Florida, resided in Athens, Georgia. Died February 15, 2008 (age 52). Mark enjoyed a successful, life-long career in the music industry. From his early 20s on, he worked as a guitar technician for a number of national acts including Kansas, the Dixie Dregs, Steve Morse, the Producers, Mother's Finest, Echo and the Bunnymen, Sonic Youth and Pearl Jam. During the pinnacle of his career, he traveled the globe as guitar tech and equipment manager for R.E.M.
