Australian a cappella quartet. The group first formed in 1993 when four friends started singing together for fun. In 1997 they decided to record some of the songs they had learnt. The group's name is taken from radio broadcasts of pianist Glenn Gould. Due to the success of the first album they start performing professionally. In 2010, they won the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) award for best jazz album for their sixth studio album, Feels Like Spring, and in 2013, they won the ARIA award for best jazz album for their ninth studio album, Smile. In 2003 they won the prestigious 'Harmony Sweepstakes' Open A Cappella Competition in the US, including awards for 'Audience Favourite' and 'Best Original Arrangement'. In addition they won four times an award of the 2011 Contemporary A Cappella Society of America (CASA): 2005 for Best Jazz Song (Rachel) and for Best Jazz Album (Evidence), 2010 and 2011 for Favourtie Oceanic Group. The group commenced with Trish Delaney-Brown on soprano vocals, Megan Corson on alto, Nick Begbie on tenor and Andrew Piper on bass and vocal percussion. In early 2002 Naomi Crellin replaced Megan Corson on alto vocals. In 2008 Sally Cameron replaced Trish Delaney-Brown on soprano vocals. Between 2011-2012 Naomi Crellin was replacy by Joy Hague for a short break. In Feb 2017 the band announced, that Andrew Piper and Sally Cameron have decided to move on to pursue other personal goals and interests.
